Chef Miguel Navarro’s cuisine is guided by precision, restraint, and a deep respect for flavor. The Beginnings of Greatness

Miguel Navarro began his professional career at the age of 16 as an apprentice at his family’s restaurant on the island of La Gomera. His early exposure to hospitality shaped his respect for product and technique, leading him to formal culinary training in Tenerife and experience across leading hotel kitchens.

Learning in Europe’s finest kitchens

In 2000, Miguel Navarro completed his first internship at Restaurante Martín Berasategui, a three-Michelin-starred institution in the Basque Country. His early career continued across some of Europe's most acclaimed kitchens, including MB Restaurant, where he contributed to earning the first Michelin Star under the direction of Berasategui. 

Since then, he has worked at multiple 3-Michelin-starred restaurants, including Restaurant Aqua at The Ritz-Carlton Wolfsburg in Germany, Piazza Duomo in Italy, Azurmendi in Bilbao, and El Celler de Can Roca in Girona.

Leadership at Es Fum and return to his roots

Since 2017, Chef Miguel Navarro has served as Executive Chef at Es Fum, a Michelin restaurant in Palma de Mallorca awarded one Michelin star and a Sol Repsol. Prior to that, for three years, Miguel Navarro was part of Martín Berasategui's team in Barcelona, serving as Second Chef de Cuisine alongside Paolo Casagrande at the 3-Michelin-starred Lasarte Restaurant. 

His leadership in Mallorca reflects a return to his roots, and to the homeland of one of his grandmothers. At Es Fum, his culinary journey brings together his international expertise with a deep connection to Mallorca and the Mediterranean.
